ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, engaged in a phone conversation with his counterpart from the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, to discuss the evolving situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, with a particular focus on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties emphasized the urgent need to intensify efforts in order to halt the Zionist aggression, cease the indiscriminate bombing of the Gaza Strip, lift the imposed siege, and reject any displacement of the population. Furthermore, they underscored the importance of providing unrestricted and unconditional relief to those affected.

Additionally, the two parties emphasized the necessity of addressing the underlying causes of the entire conflict. This entails revitalizing the peace process to ensure a just and enduring resolution that culminates in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. This solution aligns with the relevant United Nations resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
