ALGIERS- The Office of the People’s National Assembly has granted the request of parliamentary group leaders to hold a public session dedicated to bolstering the Palestinian cause and reaffirming Algeria’s resolute stance on the matter.

This session is prompted by the ongoing brutal aggression perpetrated by the Zionist occupier against Gaza and its defenseless population. It is disheartening to witness the international community’s deafening silence and complicity, particularly among the permanent members of the UN Security Council, who have failed to take decisive action to halt the aggression against the Palestinian people.

In light of these grave circumstances, the People’s National Assembly recognizes the urgency to address this issue and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The plenary session will serve as a platform to discuss and advocate for immediate measures to put an end to the relentless attacks on Gaza.

By convening this extraordinary session, the People’s National  Assembly aims to shed light on the plight of the Palestinian people and emphasize the imperative for international intervention. It is crucial to underscore the importance of upholding human rights, promoting peace, and ensuring justice.

The People’s National Assembly firmly believes that the international community must unite in condemning the aggression against Gaza and take swift action to protect innocent lives. This plenary session will provide an opportunity for parliamentarians to voice their concerns, propose effective solutions, and rally support for the Palestinian cause.
