Partial Reshuffle within Algeria’s Judiciary: Key Appointments and Transfers in the Court of Justice System

Algiers, Algeria | February 5th, 2025 — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has enacted a partial reshuffle within the ranks of the Presidents of Courts and Public Prosecutors in various Courts of Justice. This move is in full accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, particularly Articles 92 and 181, as well as Article 49 of the Organic Law governing the Statute of the Judiciary.

The reshuffle affects key judicial posts, including the transfer of one (1) President of Court of Justice and three (3) Public Prosecutors, as well as the promotion of thirteen (13) judges to the positions of President of Court or Public Prosecutor. Additionally, the reshuffle concludes the tenure of eight (8) Presidents of Courts and four (4) Public Prosecutors.

This reshuffle is part of ongoing efforts to streamline and enhance the functioning of Algeria’s judiciary, ensuring that it remains efficient, impartial, and capable of upholding justice with the highest standards.
