Algiers- Algeria, May 14, 2024 – A significant partnership agreement was inked on Tuesday between the “Salhi Ahmed” University Center of Nâama and the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), aiming to provide financing and support for startups.
The agreement, signed at the “Sahli Ahmed” University Center, was formalized by the Rector of the institution, Safi Habib, and the Delegate of the Western Region of CREA, Mansour Hamamouche. The ceremony was conducted under the supervision of the Wali of Nâama, Lounes Bouzegza. The primary objective of this collaboration is to establish a communication channel between the university center in the western highlands region and CREA. It aims to benefit project initiators by integrating field experiences and suggestions from partners and economic entities. Additionally, the agreement aims to provide support, funding, and guidance to students with startup or innovative project ideas, facilitating the transformation of their concepts into tangible projects capable of driving development and generating employment.
The Rector of the University Center of Nâama emphasized the significance of this agreement, highlighting its role in reinforcing the activities of the business incubator, Entrepreneurship House, and employment office. These entities will support students interested in realizing their startup ideas and projects, guiding them towards effective training in economic and industrial enterprises, and facilitating access to funding for their ventures.
Taleb Samir Bendiab, a member of CREA, emphasized that this agreement offers an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between universities and CREA. It aims to support students with proven skills and abilities in line with the country’s economic development policies. The Wali of Nâama also underlined the resources available in the province, emphasizing its potential in industrial land, activity zones, and micro-activity zones, which offer numerous developed sites conducive to creating economic and production dynamics.
