ALGIERS- Several political parties strongly condemned the confiscation of the properties of the Algerian Embassy in Morocco, affirming that this aggressive and provocative behavior violates international laws and norms.
The El Bina El Watani Movement vehemently denounced the provocative and aggressive behavior of the Moroccan regime, stating that in addition to the blatant violation of international laws and norms, this action reflects the moral and diplomatic decline of the Moroccan regime. They accused the regime of escalating hostilities towards Algeria in service of a Zionist agenda and allied hostile forces.
The movement reiterated its unconditional support for any sovereign decisions made by the Algerian government to protect its interests, calling on all political parties and national elites to stand in solidarity with any decision taken by the President of the Republic to reclaim national rights and halt these repeated provocative actions.
Likewise, the El Moustakbal Front described these irresponsible actions by the Moroccan regime as a serious violation of international law and diplomatic relations, reflecting the ongoing aggressive actions of the Moroccan regime against Algeria. The party expressed support for all measures taken by the Algerian government in response to these practices, which may lead the region into unpredictable consequences.
The Secretary-General of the National Democratic Rally, Mustapha Yahi, stated on his official social media account that the Moroccan authorities’ seizure of Algerian embassy property in Rabat represents a dangerous escalation and a despicable provocative act that reflects the expansionist and aggressive policies adopted by the Kingdom, as well as a violation of international treaties and norms.
Additionally, the People’s Voice Party vehemently condemned this rejected and irresponsible behavior, considering this provocative step as a dangerous slide and a blatant violation of diplomatic norms, disregarding all agreements and international conventions, particularly the Vienna Convention on International Cooperation and Diplomatic Relations, which mandates the respect and protection of embassies on their soil under all circumstances.
The party expressed its support and solidarity with all measures that the Algerian state will take to stop these irresponsible practices and repeated violations in order to protect its interests and defend national sovereignty, which is considered a red line.
As for the Renaissance Movement, it considered this escalatory move by the Moroccan authorities as a strange act that contradicts international laws, norms, and diplomacy, emphasizing that embassies and their representations are an integral part of a country’s sovereignty and enjoy immunity that must be protected under all circumstances.
The movement condemned these actions as indicative of the Moroccan regime’s deep-seated enmity towards Algeria, which it has yet to overcome, adding that it would have been more appropriate for the Moroccan regime to work towards easing tensions rather than complicating them.
