A Message of Faith, Stability, and Commitment to the Algerian People

Algiers, Algeria | February 28th, 2025 — On the eve of the sacred month of Ramadan 1446 AH, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune delivered a heartfelt video message to the Algerian people on Friday, underscoring the profound spiritual and social significance of this holy period. His address resonated with themes of unity, national cohesion, and the government’s unwavering commitment to economic stability and social welfare.

 

Commencing his speech with a message of spiritual reflection, President Tebboune highlighted Ramadan as a time imbued with faith, compassion, and renewed solidarity. He reaffirmed the deeply entrenched values of fraternity and mutual support that define Algerian society, calling upon the nation to harness these virtues throughout the month.

“We welcome this holy month with its divine blessings that inspire us to reinforce the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity, values deeply rooted in our society,” the President stated, invoking the sacred essence of Ramadan as a unifying force for the nation.

With a firm tone, President Tebboune emphasized Algeria’s prevailing security and stability, asserting that the country stands resilient in the face of global and regional challenges. He credited this stability to the collective effort of the Algerian people and the government’s steadfast governance, ensuring that vital national priorities continue to be met.

“Our nation today enjoys the blessing of security and stability,” he declared. “Through the dedication of our sons and daughters, we have achieved significant progress in fulfilling our commitments and realizing impactful accomplishments that directly benefit our citizens.”

In a resolute stance against economic exploitation, President Tebboune reaffirmed the state’s determination to shield citizens from unjust economic practices. He pointed to the government’s unyielding measures in protecting purchasing power and intensifying the fight against all forms of speculation and price manipulation, particularly during the holy month when consumer needs increase.

“The safeguarding of our citizens’ purchasing power remains an absolute priority. We are resolute in our commitment to combating all forms of speculation and tampering with the livelihood of Algerians,” he asserted.

Turning his attention to the Algerian diaspora, the Head of State extended warm Ramadan greetings to Algerians residing abroad, acknowledging their deep-rooted connection to their homeland despite geographical distances. He wished them strength in their observance of fasting and prayers, expressing hope for divine acceptance of their devotions.

“I take this blessed occasion to convey my heartfelt congratulations to our sons and daughters in the diaspora, praying that the Almighty accepts their fasting and prayers,” he conveyed.

In a poignant conclusion, President Tebboune expressed unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, invoking prayers for an end to their suffering and the unification of their ranks. As Algeria remains steadfast in its support for the Palestinian cause, he called upon divine intervention to alleviate their plight and bring justice to their struggle.

“Let us not forget our brothers and sisters in wounded Palestine. We pray that Allah eases their hardships, lifts their suffering, and unites their ranks,” he concluded.
