President Abdelmadjid Tebboune Honors Outstanding Baccalaureate and BEM Graduates, Celebrating Excellence in Education

ALGIERS– In a grand ceremony held at the People’s Palace in Algiers, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, alongside esteemed state officials, celebrated the exceptional achievements of the nation’s top baccalaureate and intermediate education certificate (BEM) graduates from the June 2023 session. The event saw the distribution of medals, gifts, and financial rewards to these remarkable young scholars who have demonstrated unparalleled dedication and academic brilliance.

The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of the best baccalaureate achievers at the national level. President Tebboune proudly honored Benkeddache Mohamed Lamine from Colonel Ali Tounsi High School in the Wilaya of Relizane, who secured a remarkable average of 19.50/20 in the experimental sciences sector. Following closely was Daachi Oussama from Mohamed Cherif Amokrane High School in Tizi N’bechar (W. Sétif), achieving an outstanding average of 19.32 in the same sector. Helal Imène Fatma-Zohra from Abdelmoumene High School in the Wilaya of Saida claimed the third spot nationally with an average of 19.32/20 in the same sector.

The President also extended accolades to Mohamed Lamine Chaouchi from Algiers, who attained an impressive average of 19.13 in the mathematics sector, along with Ines Sekfali from Jijel, who secured an outstanding average of 19.12/20 in the technical mathematics sector.

Furthermore, the President recognized Abdelwahed Bousaid from Naâma, a student registered at the School of Cadets of the Nation of Oran “Martyr Hamdani Adda,” commonly known as “Si Othmane,” who excelled in the Mathematics sector with an average of 19.02.

In a heartfelt gesture, President Tebboune presented a special distinction to Alaâ Menasria from Biskra, who achieved the top position nationally in the Experimental Sciences sector despite facing motor disabilities, with an average of 18.02.

The celebration continued with the acknowledgment of the best BEM graduates at the national level. Maria Mazouzi from the Wilaya of Batna secured the highest distinction with an extraordinary average of 19.95/20, closely followed by Loucif Hanine from W. El Oued, who attained an impressive average of 19.93. Sami Nait Seghir from Algiers (19.92/20) and Adam Meghlali from Djelfa (19.92/20) also shone bright in this elite group.

President Tebboune did not overlook the incredible achievements of Ziad Kedrez from the School of Cadets of the Nation in Béjaia, who secured an outstanding average of 19.42/20.

Moreover, the President took the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Abdelwahab Neggazi from Algiers, who demonstrated resilience and determination in the face of adversity, achieving an impressive average of 12.04 as a student with special needs.

During the ceremony, the nation’s pride swelled as President Tebboune recognized the bronze medalists of the International Mathematics Olympiad (IOM) held in Japan: Derrache Chemseddine Abdelali and Youcef Kenane from “Mohand Mokhbi” in Kouba.

The presence of esteemed officials, including the Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Salah Goudjil, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Brahim Boughali, the Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and the President of the Constitutional Court, Omar Belhadj, added an air of significance to the event. General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), and the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed, were also among the dignitaries who presented distinctions to the laureates.

As the ceremony drew to a close, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, shared a heartfelt moment with the honored graduates, posing for a souvenir photo that captured the essence of achievement and promise for a brighter future.

The ceremony served as a powerful testament to the nation’s commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a culture of academic excellence. These remarkable students are not only the pride of their families and schools but also a beacon of hope for Algeria’s continued progress and development.
