Algiers, Algeria | June 17th, 2024 — On the morning of Sunday, June 15, 2024, Dr. Ibtissem Hamlaoui, President of the Algerian Red Crescent, visited the residence of Palestinian children and their guardians who were evacuated from the besieged Gaza Strip. This visit, held on the first day of Eid al-Adha, was aimed at ensuring the well-being and happiness of these children. She was accompanied by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Mr. Fayez Muhammad Abu Aita.
During this heartwarming visit, Dr. Hamlaoui celebrated Eid with the Palestinian children, joining them in the traditional ritual of sacrificing sheep. She also distributed toys, gifts, and Eid clothes to the children and their guardians, bringing smiles and joy to their faces.
This visit is part of a broader effort by the Algerian Red Crescent to provide comprehensive care and support to those affected by conflicts and disasters, highlighting their commitment to humanitarian principles and international solidarity.
