President of Guinea-Bissau hails Algeria’s pivotal role in establishing security and stability in Africa

The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo on Tuesday hailed Algeria’s pivotal role in establishing security and stability in Africa, saying that the African continent was betting a lot on Algeria. in this domain.

“I would like to express to you our affection and our desire to strengthen relations between our two countries and to revitalize their ties, especially since the role of Algeria is central and important in the establishment of the ties of unity. Africa, the fight against terrorism and the establishment of security and stability on the continent”, indicated Mr. Umaro Sissoco Embalo in a joint press statement with the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the end of talks they had at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.

The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau also hailed the important role of Algeria on the African and international scene, specifying that “the countries of West Africa are well aware of the role that Algeria plays in the establishment of stability in this region, like what it is doing in Mali”.

Furthermore, the guest from Algeria welcomed President Tebboune’s decision to open an Algerian embassy in Guinea-Bissau, expressing his recognition and gratitude to the President of the Republic for “the spirit of fraternal solidarity and the warm welcome extended to him, as well as to the delegation accompanying him during this visit”.

Regarding his invitation by President Tebboune to pay a State visit to Algeria, Mr. Umaro Sissoco Embalo responded favorably, indicating that the Foreign Ministers of the two countries will prepare this visit which should be crowned by the signing of several agreements, he said.
