ALGIERS-In his speech to the African Startup Conference, read on his behalf by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed Algeria’s commitment to sharing its expertise in startups with Africa.
“In this forum, we reaffirm Algeria’s commitment to make its expertise in the field of startups accessible to our African brothers through spaces for exchanging expertise, such as today’s conference,” he said.
“As a country that is a leader in defending African interests, we are proud of the common struggle of African capital and believe in the inevitability of liberating the continent from the legacy of colonialism, fueled by the remnants of past influences,” he continued, reiterating Algeria’s commitment to its African identity.
“Algeria is faithful to its belonging to Africa and will remain committed to this belonging. Our glorious revolutionary history imposes a new and renewed African vision on us, remaining conscious of common African interests to advance our continent to the position it deserves in current and future regional and international balances in a world experiencing rapid developments and complex transformations,” the President further emphasized.
