Algiers, Algeria | June 24th, 2024 — Continuing his extensive reform of the justice sector, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has signed presidential decrees to retire several senior magistrates. These changes are part of a broader strategy to modernize and rejuvenate the judicial system in Algeria.
Retirement of Senior Magistrates
In the latest presidential decrees, the following magistrates have been retired for admission to the retirement:
- Mohammed Salah Soltani
- Tahar Elkefif
- Farid Derouiche
- Miloud Chebbah
- Bourahla Abassi
- Lakdar Chahat
- Mohammed El Mounir Larbaoui
- Boudjema Souilah
- Ismet Brikci Sid
- Salah Tablit
- Yahia Boukhoulda
- Abdelkader Mouissat
- Rachid Abdelkrim
In addition, the President has also signed decrees for the retirement of:
- Amara Missouri
- Saad Ouadah
