Algiers, Algeria | July 4th, 2024 — On the eve of Algeria’s 62nd anniversary of regaining national sovereignty, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, presided over a distinguished ceremony at the People’s Palace to award ranks and medals to senior officers of the People’s National Army (ANP).

President Tebboune arrived at the People’s Palace in Algiers, where he was warmly greeted by Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the ANP. This event took place as part of the celebrations marking Algeria’s historic achievement of independence 62 years ago.
