President Tebboune Calls for Arms Embargo and UN Suspension of the Zionist Entity’s Membership to Deter Aggression

Algiers, Algeria | November 11th, 2024 — During the Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, through a statement read by Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf, urged the international community to implement decisive measures against the Zionist entity. He argued that only a suspension of its UN membership and a strict arms embargo would deter its ongoing attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.

He underscored the necessity of intensifying diplomatic, political, and economic pressure on the Zionist entity to cease hostilities and de-escalate regional tensions.

Emphasizing unity with Palestine and Lebanon, Tebboune called for reinforcing the political, diplomatic, and legal achievements of the Palestinian cause and resisting efforts to undermine it. He also supported the two-state solution as a foundation for Palestinian sovereignty. Tebboune concluded by asserting that the future of Gaza and Lebanon should remain in the hands of Palestinians and Lebanese themselves.
