ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired, on Wednesday, at the International Conference Center (CIC) Abdelatif-Rahal (Algiers), the ceremony to celebrate World Press Freedom Day (May 3).
The ceremony took place in the presence of senior state officials, members of the government, as well as representatives of the national and international press accredited in Algeria.
On the occasion, the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the various reforms underway in the communication sector and the efforts made by the state to promote the sector.
The Minister also reaffirmed Algeria’s support for the struggles of all free journalists and freedom-loving people in the world.
