President Tebboune Emphasizes No Export at the Expense of National Needs, Calls for Industrial Renaissance

ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has revealed that the integration rate in the field of mechanical industries has surpassed 40% in Algeria, commending the significant progress made in this sector of local industries.
During his visit to the pavilions of the Ministry of National Defense participating in the 31st edition of the Algerian Production Exhibition, President Tebboune praised the advancements in Algeria’s mechanical industry. Concurrently, he stressed the importance of prioritizing local industries, especially amid high import demands.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune took the opportunity to tour several industrial facilities participating in the exhibition, reaffirming his commitment to protecting companies engaged in the national policy.
Emphasizing the need to meet national needs before focusing on exports, President Tebboune called for the achievement of what he termed the “industrial renaissance.” He highlighted that economic operators are the key players capable of realizing this vision.
This declaration underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening local industries and ensuring they play a pivotal role in meeting domestic demands, ultimately contributing to the country’s economic growth and self-sufficiency.
