ALGIERS- Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, announced on Sunday the establishment by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, of two new prizes dedicated to the world of culture and literature.
The ministry explained in a statement that these prizes include the President of the Republic Prize for Cultural and Scientific Personalities and the State Prize for Arts and Letters.
Minister Mouloudji made this announcement during the installation of the jury for the President of the Republic Prize for Young Creators Ali-Maâchi.
Honoring Global Figures
According to Mouloudji, these prizes will reward distinguished personalities from around the world who have excelled in culture and science in service to humanity and have contributed to the dissemination of peace values through their works and creations.
The President of the Republic Prize will honor two iconic global figures in the fields of culture, humanities, sciences, and technologies, she added.
As for the second prize, it is the State Prize for Arts and Letters, which will reward active personalities on the Algerian cultural and artistic scene, according to the same source.
The jury for the President of the Republic Prize for Young Creators Ali-Maâchi, installed by the minister, will be tasked with “evaluating literary and artistic works.”
These newly established awards underscore Algeria’s commitment to promoting and celebrating excellence in culture, arts, and literature, both domestically and internationally. They represent an opportunity to recognize and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to enriching the cultural landscape and fostering global understanding and cooperation.
