ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune addressed a letter to participants in the second edition of the African Startup Congress, which took place at the International Conference Center (CIC) in Algiers.

Read by Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui, President Tebboune emphasized the crucial role that startups, small, and innovative businesses play in the economic revival process launched in Algeria since late 2019.

“Algeria has made remarkable progress in the field of creating startups and innovative companies, thanks in particular to various aid and support programs, as well as the creation of new training specialties in this field. We maintain our commitment to provide the necessary economic and financial means to support this very beneficial progress for the national economy, addressing numerous development challenges,” stated President Tebboune, assuring that Algeria relies on its youth to launch a dynamic that will impact all economic aspects.

President Tebboune also sent a message to participants in this continental meeting: “Governments of African countries must provide total support to startups and innovative companies that have proven their effectiveness in various countries worldwide. High unemployment rates are not inevitable in Africa. It is high time to tackle this challenge and catch up,” he emphasized.
