ALGIERS- In today’s cabinet meeting chaired by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, several crucial directives were issued, focusing on diverse aspects of governance and national development. The President underscored the government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable and middle-class citizens, prioritizing the preservation of purchasing power and elevating various housing programs to safeguard the dignity of the populace.
President Tebboune reiterated the imperative to curb the misuse of public funds and prevent the allocation of additional budgets to initiatives not earmarked for specific programs. The emphasis on fiscal responsibility reflects the government’s dedication to prudent financial management and efficient resource utilization.
Addressing the Cabinet, President Tebboune urged the government to expedite the implementation of decisions previously made during cabinet meetings, emphasizing the importance of promptly executing policies that contribute to national development. He specifically highlighted decisions that may have faced delays in execution, urging the government to ensure their swift enactment.
In a call for accountability and transparency, President Tebboune cautioned against making exaggerated promises that deviate from the commitments made to the Algerian people. This directive aims to foster credibility and maintain trust between the government and its citizens, emphasizing the importance of aligning public statements with tangible actions.
Furthermore, the President called for an acceleration in the implementation of ongoing programs and commitments, particularly in vital sectors such as national education, the knowledge economy, startups, and micro-enterprises. He emphasized the need to uphold the value of labor while preserving and supporting small trades and artisanal activities, recognizing their role in creating wealth and employment opportunities.
President Tebboune’s directives reflect a comprehensive approach to governance, encompassing social welfare, fiscal responsibility, and efficient policy implementation. As Algeria strives for progress and development, these guidelines aim to ensure a balanced and inclusive approach to national prosperity.
