President Tebboune meets members of the national community in Kuwait

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune met, Tuesday evening in Kuwait’s capital, members of the national community established in Kuwait, on the sidelines of the official visit he has started in this country.

During this meeting, President Tebboune listened to the concerns and proposals of the various speakers present, before answering their questions concerning the political, economic and social affairs of the country and at the same time discussing Algerian-Kuwaiti relations and the means to promote them.

As for bilateral relations, the Head of State highlighted the “solid” bonds of brotherhood between the two countries, saying about the Gulf countries that despite the geographical distance that separates us, “We try in the Arab Maghreb to get closer to them and to defend them because what reaches Kuwait, Qatar or Saudi Arabia, reaches Algeria”.

President Tebboune reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Algerian-Kuwaiti relations further in various fields, stressing the role of the national community in this regard, particularly in terms of economic investments that can be made in Algeria and by helping to encourage businessmen Kuwaitis to carry out projects and invest in our country.

In this regard, the President of the Republic spoke of “Algeria’s economic openness”, explaining that the law on investment, “to be published in a month”, will allow the establishment of rules of transparent investment allowing investors, Algerian or foreign, to materialize their projects, to make profits with the possibility of transferring them abroad or reinvesting them without any hindrance, “as long as the transactions are carried out in transparency and in within the framework of the law”.
