ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired, on Sunday, a Council of Ministers meeting where he ordered the hardening of sanctions concerning several societal phenomena in the new penal code. The President has set a deadline of one month for the development of a new bill on forgery and the use of forgery, which has become a dangerous societal phenomenon at the expense of honest citizens.
The objective of this bill is to establish transparency and fair competition in all areas by treating all societal imbalances in a deep and dissuasive manner. President Tebboune demanded that the draft law against forgery and the use of forgery provide the maximum penalties against any forger, regardless of their involvement in major or minor cases relating to the simplest aspects of life.
Furthermore, the President underlined the need to impose maximum penalties on perpetrators of attacks on members of the security forces. In addition to the protection already provided to doctors and medical staff, President Tebboune also ordered harsher penalties for aggressors against professors and teachers.
The President also demanded tougher penalties for any person or organized group that targets basic infrastructure, including the looting of copper cables, which has become a widespread phenomenon. These measures are necessary to ensure the safety and security of citizens and to promote a fair and just society.
In conclusion, President Tebboune’s orders demonstrate his commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of citizens. The development of a new bill on forgery and the use of forgery, along with the imposition of harsher penalties for various societal imbalances, will help establish a transparent and fair society where all citizens can thrive.
