Algiers, Algeria | May 23, 2024 — As a special envoy of the President of the Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived in Dakar on Wednesday evening, carrying a letter from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his Senegalese counterpart, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, according to a statement from the ministry.
“This visit is part of efforts to give new momentum to the historical relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and to further consolidate their common commitment to address current regional and continental challenges and meet the aspirations and ambitions of the African continent in terms of security, stability, and development,” the statement emphasized.
