President Tebboune to take part in 9th Rome MED- Dialogues at Italian president’s invitation

ALGIERS– President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune held, on Tuesday, phone talks with his Italian counterpart, Mr. Sergio Mattarella, during which the two parties discussed bilateral relations and issues of common interest, indicated a press release of the Presidency of the Republic.
“President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune held, on Tuesday, phone talks with the President of the Italian Republic, a friendly country, Mr. Sergio Mattarella, who presented his best wishes on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan,” the statement read.
The two presidents discussed “preparations for the 9th edition of the High Level Forum for Dialogue in the Mediterranean”, added the same source, specifying that “Mr. President has accepted the invitation of his Italian counterpart to take part in the next edition”.
Addressing bilateral relations, the two heads of state “welcomed the pace of the advancement of the bilateral cooperation, while insisting on the need to further bolster deeply-rooted friendship uniting the two friendly countries”, further noted the same source.
The two Presidents also reviewed “regional and international issues of common interest serving the interest and stability of the region”, the statement concluded.
Noting that the 9th edition of the “Rome MED – Mediterranean Dialogues” will take place on November 2-4, 2023. The conference will be held both in-person and live.
Heads of State, Ministers, scholars, experts, representatives of the business community, media and civil society, will gather in Rome to explore solutions on the most pressing challenges on the region’s security, prosperity, culture, climate change, food security, migration and much more.
This year too, #MED2023 will turn Rome into the hub for high–level dialogues on the wider Mediterranean.
