President Tebboune’s Special Envoy, Ahmed Attaf, Received by Mauritanian President

ALGIERS- Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Algerian Community Abroad, visited Nouakchott on Friday as the special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. During his visit, he was warmly received by Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazouani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The meeting, held in the presence of Mokhtar Ould Ajay, Minister in Charge of the Mauritanian Presidency’s Cabinet, and Mohamed Salem Merzoug, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, centered on enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly nations. Attaf conveyed a written message from President Tebboune to his Mauritanian counterpart, emphasizing the shared interests and common goals of the Mauritanian and Algerian peoples.
According to a statement from the Mauritanian Presidency, discussions focused on expanding cooperation across various domains to benefit both countries. The dialogue aimed to explore avenues for broader collaboration that would serve the mutual interests of Mauritania and Algeria.
The meeting reflects the longstanding fraternal ties between Algeria and Mauritania, as well as their commitment to fostering closer diplomatic relations. Through constructive dialogue and diplomatic exchanges, both nations seek to strengthen their partnership and advance shared objectives for the prosperity and well-being of their respective populations.
