President Tebboune’s Unwavering Commitment: Parliamentarian Lakhdar Salmi Commends Tireless Efforts in Fulfilling Promises

ALGIERS- In an interview with Dzair Tube, Lakhdar Salmi, Deputy Head of the Finance Committee in the People’s National Assembly (APN), delved into President Tebboune’s address to the nation before parliamentary members. Salmi highlighted the significance of the speech, emphasizing its grounding in Article 150 of the constitution, granting the President the authority to address the nation through both chambers of parliament.
During the conversation, Salmi shed light on President Tebboune’s discourse, focusing on the overall political, economic, and social accomplishments. These achievements, encompassing the 54 commitments made during his electoral campaign, have been a central theme in Tebboune’s presidency.
Salmi commended President Tebboune for his unwavering dedication to realizing these commitments, noting that, in just four years, he has successfully achieved the majority of them. Looking ahead, Salmi mentioned that, as part of the 2024 program, the remaining commitments and obligations are set to be fulfilled, particularly following President Tebboune’s signing of the Finance Bill for the upcoming year.
Delving into the origin of the number “54,” Salmi explained that it represents the commitments derived from the historic November Revolution. President Tebboune, in adopting these commitments, symbolically connects them to the sacred history of the nation.
Turning to President Tebboune’s accomplishments, Salmi acknowledged the President’s efforts to rectify shortcomings and mismanagement in various sectors inherited from previous administrations. These improvements, Salmi argued, have led to a positive impact on the national economy, addressing issues such as trade imbalances, economic downturns, and the surge in imports that previously strained the national currency.
Salmi concluded by emphasizing that many aspects of Algerian society have witnessed improvement under President Tebboune’s leadership. He called for genuine support and commitment from all state entities to contribute to the establishment of a new Algeria, aligned with the President’s vision.
