Presidential Adviser Kamel Sidi Said Meets with National Organization of Algerian Journalists Representatives

Algiers, Algeria | June 21st, 2024 — In line with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives emphasizing the importance of open dialogue with various stakeholders and partners, and his commitment to establishing the foundations of consultation and communication, the Presidential Adviser in charge of the General Directorate of Communication, Mr. Kamel Sidi Said, met with representatives of the National Organization of Algerian Journalists. This meeting, a first of its kind, aimed to address the concerns of journalists and listen to the issues hindering their work in both the public and independent sectors.

During this open and extensive discussion, many important and fundamental topics were addressed. Mr. Sidi Said reiterated that the doors of the Presidency are always open and that the Directorate is receptive to all proposals that benefit the sector. The representatives of the National Organization of Algerian Journalists, led by Slimane Abdouche, collectively emphasized the crucial role of the national media in defending the country’s interests, unity, and sovereignty.

Mr. Kamel Sidi Saïd has been instrumental in bridging the gap between journalists and the Presidency, reinforcing a transparent and collaborative environment. His proactive efforts have included establishing regular communication channels, ensuring journalists have access to vital information, and addressing their concerns promptly. By fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and openness, Mr. Sidi Saïd has not only enhanced the professional development of journalists but also strengthened their role in safeguarding national interests and promoting unity.
