ALGIERS- The Director General of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry, Ahmed Salem Zaid, confirmed that the production of “FIAT” brand cars at the Oran plant was in the final phase and “will start in the coming months, reported, this Tuesday, the National Radio channel I.
Ahmed Zaid revealed that the Ministry of Industry had granted three approvals by a specialized commission to three car dealers, which are (FIAT, OPEL, and JAC), pending the granting of other final approvals for other brands over the coming weeks.
Concerning the prices of FIAT cars, dubbed by Algerians as “high”, the same official explained that “they are subject to supply and demand, and that their increase is not limited merely to the Algerian market, revealing the possibility of their reduction after the entry of other car brands.
