Algiers, Algeria | December 31st, 2024 — Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Algeria, Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Bussairy, on Tuesday at the Government Palace in Algiers.
During the high-level discussions, both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and explored avenues for its development. The dialogue underscored the mutual resolve of the leaderships of Algeria and Saudi Arabia, represented by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to forge a promising bilateral partnership. This commitment includes diversifying economic cooperation and capitalizing on the vast investment opportunities available in both nations, according to a communiqué from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The meeting also addressed pressing issues within the Arab world, with particular emphasis on the occupied Palestinian territories and the ongoing crisis in Syria. Both parties highlighted the need for enhanced coordination and consultation to address shared challenges effectively. The communiqué emphasized that Algeria and Saudi Arabia, as pivotal actors in the Arab and Muslim world, serve as vital stabilizing forces amidst rapidly evolving and highly complex regional and international developments.
