Provocative statements by Zionist official: Algeria condemns “in strongest terms”

ALGIERS- Algeria strongly condemned, on Wednesday, the provocative remarks made by a Zionist official contesting the right of the Palestinian people to exist and to establish their independent state.
“Algeria strongly condemns the provocative statements of a leader of the Zionist entity holding a negationist ideology which challenges the right of the Palestinian people to exist and to establish their independent state”, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad.
Algeria “condemns in the strongest terms the use by this official of an expansionist occupation map which includes the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the occupied Palestinian territories”, added the same source.
This “aggressive behavior, added to a series of systematic violations committed by the occupying power against the Palestinian people, their properties and their holy places with a very dangerous expansionist design, constitutes a flagrant violation of international legality and a direct threat to peace, security and stability throughout the region,” the same source stressed.
On this occasion, Algeria called on the international community, “in particular, the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities to protect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and to enforce its borders, as well as those of all states in the region, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” the ministry’ statement concluded.
