ALGIERS- The State of Qatar vehemently condemns the Zionist occupation’s bombing of the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza. This act is not only a flagrant violation of international law but also a continuation of the occupation’s reprehensible strategy of targeting innocent civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, residential areas, and shelters for the displaced.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the bombing of the Qatari Committee’s headquarters represents an extension of the occupation’s deliberate targeting of individuals. It is particularly distressing since this committee has been tirelessly working on projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of the crisis-stricken population in Gaza. The suffering is a direct consequence of the prolonged siege and ongoing aggression.

The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for the international community to take immediate action in holding the Zionist entity accountable for its repeated crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure. Israel must be compelled to adhere to international laws.

Furthermore, the Ministry called upon the Zionist occupation to cease providing flimsy justifications for its attacks on civilian infrastructure, healthcare facilities, and innocent civilians. The use of misleading information is unacceptable under any circumstances. This includes the targeting of the committee’s headquarters, which has been dedicated to rebuilding what the occupation has destroyed in its repeated wars on the Gaza Strip.
