Ramadan: Algerian Red Crescent, Ooredoo launch solidarity caravan for destitute families – Video

ALGIERS- Faithful to its traditions and in partnership with the mobile phone operator Ooredoo, the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA), organized, this Thursday, a solidarity caravan for the benefit of disadvantaged families across several wilayas of the country on the occasion of the first day of Ramadan.
The Algerian Red Crescent and Ooredoo expressed their solidarity with needy families through an operation to distribute food parcels, made up of basic necessities.
The kick-off of this solidarity caravan was given this Thursday, March 23, 2023, from the Rapid Response Center for Disasters in Sidi Rached, in the wilaya of Tipaza, by the Director of Corporate Affairs of Ooredoo, Ramdane Djezairi and the President of the Algerian Red Crescent, Ibtissem Hamlaoui, specified Ooredoo in a press release.
“This operation is part of the implementation of the terms of the contract recently concluded by Ooredoo and the Algerian Red Crescent under which Ooredoo undertakes to support the efforts of the CRA in carrying out several charitable actions during the month of Ramadan, in particular through the financial contribution granted by the mobile phone operator as well as the “El Hilal” restaurants which will be managed by the Algerian Red Crescent during this month of Ramadan”, indicated Ooredoo.
Furthermore, the company “undertakes to support the Algerian Red Crescent in its noble missions in favor of Algerian society, through the realization of other humanitarian and charitable projects, and the establishment of joint programs”.
Finally, the Qatari telecommunications company confirms once again through this solidarity action “its status as a socially responsible company and its unwavering commitment to the most vulnerable segments of society.”
