Reaffirming Leadership: Advocating for Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s Re-election to Sustain National Progress

Algiers, Algeria | August 31st, 2024 — The President of the Front of New Algeria (FAN), Djamel Benabdeslam, has made a compelling case for the re-election of Abdelmadjid Tebboune as an independent candidate, urging voters in Bordj Bou Arreridj to support his bid for a second presidential term. Speaking at a campaign rally at the Aïcha-Haddad Cultural Complex, Benabdeslam emphasized that Tebboune has successfully initiated numerous significant projects during his first term and deserves a renewed mandate to complete these efforts, ensuring the continued advancement of the nation’s development agenda.

Benabdeslam called on citizens to participate robustly in the upcoming elections on September 7, stressing that a vote for Tebboune is a vote for stability, security, and the unwavering progression of Algeria’s developmental trajectory. Similarly, the National Association of Traders and Craftsmen (ANCA), through its president, Hadj Tahar Boulenouar, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the critical importance of this election for shaping future economic policies. Boulenouar underscored that ANCA’s efforts are focused on galvanizing grassroots participation, with association offices across various wilayas actively engaging the public to ensure a strong electoral turnout.

Abdelmadjid Khobzi, ANCA’s investment representative, further urged the commercial and artisan communities to cast their votes in favor of Tebboune, aligning with his economic vision for Algeria’s future. Abdelkader Berriche, leader of the El Bina parliamentary group, highlighted Tebboune’s achievements, particularly in the economic sector, and emphasized the significance of his proposed measures outlined in the electoral program.

In M’sila, Fateh Boutbig, President of the El-Moustakbal Front, also advocated for Tebboune’s re-election, asserting that it would allow him to continue the reforms initiated in his first term, particularly those aimed at salary increases, youth employment, and social welfare. Boutbig noted that Tebboune’s focus on economic development is crucial for supporting his broader social policies, and he urged citizens to vote en masse on election day.

Abdelkrim Benmbarek, Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN), reinforced this message in Mascara, pointing to Tebboune’s commitment to enhancing citizens’ purchasing power through inflation control and salary increases. He emphasized that Tebboune’s program is dedicated to continuing these efforts, alongside ambitious projects such as the strategic railway connecting Béchar to Gara Djebilet and the road linking Algeria to Mauritania.

At another rally in Tébessa, Lamine Osmani, President of the Sawt Echaâb party, endorsed Tebboune, arguing that his re-election would ensure the completion of ongoing development projects and the continuation of reforms that began under his first term. Osmani reminded the electorate that Tebboune’s program builds on the 54 commitments he made to the Algerian people, many of which have already been realized.

Finally, in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Mustapha Yahi, Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), highlighted Tebboune’s efforts to develop border regions, particularly through infrastructure projects that bolster Algeria’s African dimension. He called on the local population to seize the opportunity on September 7 to secure a future of continued progress and prosperity under Tebboune’s leadership.
