ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has taken decisive action by relieving Lakhal Ayat Abdeslam, the Wali of Relizane, and Messikh Abdelaziz, the head of the daïra of Relizane, from their positions. Additionally, three officials from the Education sector in the same wilaya have been suspended, as stated in a press release issued by the presidency.

These decisions have been prompted by the President’s observation of a lack of adherence to his directives and the discovery of misleading reports that have concealed the true state of affairs regarding the implementation of development programs in the wilaya of Relizane. The presidency’s press release explicitly highlights the need for investigations to determine the extent to which the various local services responsible for executing development programs have fulfilled their commitments.

The actions taken by President Tebboune underscore his commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency in the administration. By removing officials who have failed to meet the expectations set by the President, he sends a clear message that laxity and misrepresentation will not be tolerated.
