Algiers, Algeria | February 6th, 2025 — The National Democratic Rally (RND) has strongly condemned the recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and the potential Zionist control over the territory. In a statement issued on Thursday, February 6, the party labeled Trump’s statements as “a blatant violation of all international norms and agreements,” further asserting that these remarks constitute a direct affront to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
The RND expressed deep concern over the “reckless and dangerous” comments made by the U.S. President, which they believe threaten to inflame violence and instability in the already volatile Middle East region. The statement emphasized that such statements reflect an inhumane and illegal stance, disregarding both international law and the humanitarian rights of the Palestinian population.
“We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their fight to defend their established rights,” the RND declared, reaffirming its steadfast rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians or relinquish their territorial claims. The party reiterated that the Palestinian cause is a just one, and that no reckless or unjust decisions can undermine its legitimacy.
Moreover, the RND lauded Algeria’s diplomatic efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause on the international stage. The party called for the full recognition of the State of Palestine, urging the United Nations to grant Palestine full membership as a sovereign nation.
In light of Trump’s comments, the RND called for a unified response from Arab nations to confront such divisive and dangerous plans, stressing the importance of collective action to safeguard the region’s security and stability. The statement concluded with a strong appeal to the global community to reject such actions that threaten the future of peace in the Middle East.
