RND Ready to Ensure Success of Algeria’s Presidential Elections

ALGIERS- Mustapha Yahi, the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), announced on Saturday the readiness of the RND and its preparedness to contribute to the success of the upcoming presidential elections.
During his address to a mass rally in the province of Oran, Mustapha Yahi emphasized the readiness and preparedness of the National Democratic Rally to defend Algeria and its constitutional institutions. He reiterated the party’s commitment to strengthening the national front against all conspiracies, plots, and schemes that threaten Algeria, which have escalated in seriousness in recent times.
Yahi stated, “The RND will remain a unified force alongside all national good-doers, defending our constitutional institutions and safeguarding our legitimate achievements in the wake of the deep reforms initiated by the President of the Republic.”
He also clarified that the reforms implemented by President Tebboune have borne fruit in all sectors, political, economic, social, and others.
Furthermore, Mustapha Yahi reaffirmed the RND’s support for the People’s National Army, the worthy heir to the National Liberation Army, and all security forces. He expressed the party’s commitment to supporting all security institutions in their diligent and continuous efforts to defend Algeria against any threats to its security and stability. He said, “We are confident that our People’s National Army will remain a solid fortress, impervious to all schemes and malicious plots aimed at our territorial unity, security, and stability.”
Regarding the upcoming presidential elections, the spokesperson emphasized that as a significant and active political force, the RND is fully aware of the threats targeting Algeria from some lobby groups and hostile forces. He noted that these groups have intensified their hostile activities against our country recently. He pointed out that these groups and hostile forces are working diligently, through their malicious and poisonous schemes, to disrupt the organization of the upcoming presidential elections, seeking to create chaos and undermine security and stability in Algeria. Yahi affirmed the RND’s readiness and preparedness to contribute to the success of the upcoming presidential elections by mobilizing all its resources, activists, elected officials, executives, and supporters to achieve this goal.
The spokesperson also considered the upcoming presidential elections as a crucial milestone for preserving the achievements made, starting from the restoration of the legitimacy of state institutions, through the building of a national economy independent of fossil fuels, to the social gains made in recent years, which contribute to “preserving the dignity of citizens and their right to a decent life.”
He stated, “The RND calls on all national political forces and civil society actors, as well as youth, to further mobilize and rally to thwart all the plots and threats that lurk against Algeria, internally and externally, and to work towards the success of the upcoming presidential elections, as it remains the responsibility of all.”
In the same context, the RND praised the economic strategy adopted by the Algerian state in recent years, which has prevented the country from resorting to external borrowing despite the financial difficulties it has faced. Yahi highlighted the success of this strategy today, with economic growth exceeding 4%, a trade surplus of over $10 billion, continuous growth in non-hydrocarbon exports, as well as the launch of strategic investment projects, particularly in agriculture, industry, and infrastructure.
On the other hand, Mustapha Yahi appreciated the social strategy pursued by the state, which aims to preserve the social character of the state and protect the purchasing power and dignity of citizens, especially the vulnerable segments of society. All of this has been achieved with zero debt and a reserve exceeding $80 billion.
