ALGIERS- Mustapha Yahi, the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), has criticized the Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylie (MAK) and Rachad, accusing them of serving Zionist interests.

Yahi stressed the importance of being vigilant against conspiracies and plots aimed at undermining Algeria’s unity.

“We caution against falling into the traps of conspiracies and plots orchestrated by certain isolated parties, individuals, and terrorist entities targeting the unity, security, and stability of Algeria,” Yahi stated during a meeting with party officials and activists at the Mouloud Mammeri Cultural Center in Tizi Ouzou.

He called for “solidarity around national unity” and urged for “increased vigilance and mobilization to counter the conspiracies and plots initiated by some isolated parties and individuals working for the Zionist entity.”

Yahi also cautioned against “succumbing to the traps of conspiracies and plots orchestrated by certain isolated parties and individuals, as well as terrorist entities targeting Algeria’s unity, security, and stability.”

He described the ongoing campaigns as “fierce hostile attacks led by some puppet states of the Zionist entity.”

Yahi highlighted that these same parties are “unsettled by Algeria’s honorable stances towards just causes in the world, particularly the Palestinian cause.”

Furthermore, he spoke about the significant historical role of Tizi Ouzou Province in the National Liberation War, considering it the stronghold of the third historical province and its influence in promoting national spirit.

He emphasized that the National Democratic Rally recognizes the Amazigh language as a national and official language and views the designation of January as a national holiday “as important achievements for our country.”

Yahi’s speech from Tizi Ouzou, considered the stronghold of the Amazigh movement, directly references the MAK (Movement for the Autonomy of Kabylie), classified in Algeria as a terrorist entity, whose leader, Ferhat Mehenni, declared support for the Zionist entity.

The Movement for the Society of Peace (MSP) office in Tizi Ouzou also issued a statement condemning Ferhat Mehenni’s recent declaration of the so-called “Republic of the Kabyle People,” considering it a movement that does not represent the region’s inhabitants.

In the same context, Yahi believes that Algeria “in this challenging regional circumstance, requires political consensus to strengthen its unity and continue the path of reforms, enhancing its security, stability, and development.”

Regarding the upcoming presidential elections, the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Rally views them as “an opportunity to bolster unity and enable the Algerian people to vote freely, democratically, and transparently,” calling for “active participation” of activists and the Algerian people in this electoral event.

He also affirmed the party’s readiness to contribute to the success of the upcoming presidential elections, mobilizing all its forces, activists, elected officials, and supporters to achieve this objective.

On the situation in Palestine, Yahi expressed regret for the failure of international institutions to halt Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, emphasizing Algeria’s diplomatic efforts at the United Nations Security Council to address this aggression.
