ALGIERS- The National Democratic Rally (RND) has issued a robust and just response to the recent report by the U.S. Department of State regarding religious freedoms in Algeria. In a strongly-worded statement, the RND condemned the inaccuracies and attacks against Algeria contained in the report, which placed the country under scrutiny in the context of religious freedoms.
“The RND has followed with much regret the falsehoods and attacks against Algeria contained in the report by the U.S. Department of State, which included Algeria in the list of countries under surveillance for religious liberties. In this regard, the National Democratic Rally (RND) vehemently condemns the content of this report and its unfounded assertions, lacking any objectivity. In Algeria, religious liberties and individual and collective freedoms are fully guaranteed, as clearly specified in the Algerian constitution,” defended the RND, reserving severe and justified criticisms for the continuation of its response.
“At this juncture, we invite the U.S. Department of State to reflect on its dark past concerning the respect of human rights in this country, which conceals unspoken truths and motives behind the content of this tendentious, deceitful, and provocative report. The RND also asserts that the USA, who have assumed the role of the world’s policeman, trample on human rights, particularly regarding the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people,” continued the RND, effectively challenging the stance of Blinken and Biden.
Indeed, the RND’s statements aim to counter the unilateral and criminal support of the U.S. government for Zionist actions against Palestinians. The party calls on the public to rise against this intolerable and unacceptable policy of double standards. The RND denounces the USA’s foreign policy, often supporting criminals and terrorists worldwide.
In conclusion, the RND calls on Washington to adhere to international law, emphasizing that it is not within their jurisdiction to publish such reports, as they fall under the exclusive purview of certain UN institutions. The party’s response comes in the context of global condemnation of U.S. policies and actions that are hypocritical and detrimental to human rights and international justice.
