ALGIERS- Rolls-Royce is thrilled to announce that Air Algérie has chosen to add seven Rolls-Royce-powered Airbus wide-body aircraft to their expanding fleet. This decision is a testament to Air Algérie’s bold expansion and growth strategy, and we are honored to be a part of it,” said a communiqué issued on the official website “Rolls-royce”.

Air Algérie has signed agreements with Airbus to acquire five A330-900s and two A350-1000s, all powered by the Trent 7000 and Trent XWB-97s. The Trent 7000 is the latest addition to the Rolls-Royce Trent family of engines and is exclusively powering the Airbus A330-900. Since its introduction in early 2019, the Trent 7000 has flown over one million hours, delivering exceptional reliability, sustainable performance, and proven versatility. The Trent XWB-97 is the world’s most efficient large aero engine in service and is exclusively powering the Airbus A350. Its performance to date is unprecedented.

The Trent 7000 and Trent XWB-97 engines will support Air Algérie’s ambitious growth plans by providing availability, reliability, and efficiency to its fleet as the airline takes on longer-range routes. Both engines offer leading performance and noise level reductions while consuming less fuel. They can also operate on a 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend.

We are delighted to welcome Air Algérie into our family of Trent operators and congratulate them on their choice of Trent 7000 and Trent XWB-97-powered Airbus aircraft. We look forward to growing our relationship with Air Algérie and supporting their regional and transatlantic ambitions.
