Saharawi President Brahim Ghali visits shrine of national hero Simon Bolivar, El Abila Park in Venezuela

Caracas (Venezuela)- On the second day of his state visit to Venezuela, the Saharawi President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, paid,  Monday morning, a visit to the National Pantheon of Venezuela, where the remains of the most prominent leaders and personalities in the country’s history are kept.

The Saharawi President,  accompanied by the Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yvan Gil and Deputy Minister for Africa of at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimentel, members of the African diplomatic corps accredited in Caracas and the Sahrawi delegation, laid a wreath at the shrine of the national hero Simón Bolívar, known as the liberator of Latin America.

The President of the Republic also recorded a special speech, on behalf of the people and government of the Sahrawi Republic, in the register of the shrine.

The Saharawi President paid, Sunday evening, a visit to El Ávila National Park, officially known as Waraira Repano.

Upon his arrival, the President and his accompanying delegation were received and accompanied by the Venezuelan Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ali Padron, and the Mayor of Caracas, Ms. Carmen Meléndez.

The Saharawi President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, began Sunday a state visit to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, at the invitation of its President, Mr. Nicolás Maduro.

President Ghali is accompanied by an important delegation comprising members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Sidati and Fatima al-Mahdi, respectively Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, as well as the Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, Abdati Breirika, the Ambassador in charge of Latin America and the Caribbean, Mohamed Zroug and ambassador to Venezuela, Mohamed Salem Rgueibi.
