ALGIERS-  The head of the Sahrawi National Council, Hamma Salama, echoed Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s recent statement condemning the normalization of relations between the Makhzen regime and the Zionist entity as “non-event”.

Hamma Salama’s resolute stance underscores the undeniable reality that both regimes, marred by a long-standing history of intrusiveness, are devoid of any legitimate basis. His assertions highlight the entrenched nature of these relations, stretching back to the 1960s, dispelling any notion of them being mere recent developments. The reference to Gilles Perrault’s illuminating work, “Our Friend the King,” adds weight to Salameh’s argument, as it unearths the multifaceted dimensions of the Zionist-Moroccan connections, revealing a deep-rooted and complex web of interactions.

“Our Friend the King” delves into the intricate web of connections between Morocco and the Zionist entity, exposing a long-standing relationship that has often remained hidden from the public eye. Salameh emphasized that the book reveals the depths of cooperation between the Makhzen regime and the Zionist entity, further solidifying their alliance as two invasive forces.

“The Makhzen-Zionist collaboration is not a mere coincidence but a sinister alignment of two invaders seeking to exploit our lands for their own gains,” stated Hamma Salama.

In perfect harmony with President Tebboune, Hamma Salama powerfully stressed that the ancestral lands of the Sahrawi people, just like the sacred lands of Palestine, must never be reduced to mere commodities for sale or exploited as bargaining chips in any political negotiation. As a resolute voice for justice and sovereignty, they both stand unwavering in their commitment to safeguarding the inherent rights of both countries, ensuring that their historical and cultural heritage remains inviolable and their aspirations for self-determination are respected by the international community. This unified stance serves as a profound reminder that the struggles of the Sahrawi and Palestinian people for dignity, freedom, and territorial integrity are intertwined, and any attempts to compromise their rights will be met with unwavering resistance and condemnation from those who champion justice and human rights on the global stage.
