Saida Neghza: Algeria wants to expand land, sea and air transport lines with African countries to increase trade

The President of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises, Saida Neghza, has confirmed that Algeria is working to increase trade with African countries, noting that “the opening of a shipping line with Mauritania, airlines with African countries and the acceleration of the pace of the realization of the road of African Unity, as well as other projects, is the best proof of this”.

During his speech at the opening of the first edition of the African Business Fair, the day before yesterday Wednesday, Neghza stressed that this economic event intervenes to publicize national products and capacities, the search for ways of cooperation and encouragement investments with African partners.

The businesswoman added that this fair “is in line with the policy adopted by the Government, in application of the directives of the President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aim at encouraging investment and cooperation with African partners”. .

The first edition of the African Business Fair, organized by the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises in collaboration with the “Yacine de production” agency and under the patronage of the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, has been inaugurated this Wednesday evening at the Palais des Congrès Mohamed ben Ahmed in Oran, with the participation of 16 African countries in addition to Algeria.

take part in this three-day economic event of businessmen and heads of major economic companies in different fields, as well as ambassadors of African countries accredited in Algeria.

At this fair, in which 45 Algerian economic companies participate, products from different sectors are exhibited, including health, the pharmaceutical industry, transport and logistics, the environment and renewable energies, start-ups, as well as the agriculture and food industries, construction and public works, hydraulics, leather industry and textiles, among others.

A forum bringing together businessmen and representatives of the authorities of the participating countries will be organized within the framework of this exhibition for the exchange of visions and proposals that can contribute to the development of the African continent.

Participants in this forum will address many issues, including Algerian-African trade opportunities and Algeria’s export capacities to Africa, as well as those offered by the Algerian market for the marketing of African products, as well as the Trans-African Highway.
