Salah Goudjil Extends Congratulations on the 48th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the SADR

ALGIERS- On February 27th, the Sahrawi people celebrated the 48th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR). Salah Goudjil, Speaker of the Council of the Nation, described this anniversary as “deeply rooted in the memory of free men who are passionate about justice and freedom.”
In a post on his account “X,” formerly known as Twitter, Salah Goudjil emphasized that “today marks 48 years since the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.” He highlighted the increasing support for the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination and independence over the years.
Goudjil, the second highest-ranking official in the state, characterized this support as “heralding an imminent victory,” noting that “every occupation is destined to vanish, and history bears witness to this fact.”
As the Sahrawi people continue their struggle for self-determination, Goudjil’s message of solidarity underscores the ongoing international recognition of their cause and the steadfast commitment to their quest for independence.
