ALGIERS– In a press release published on Thursday, the Saudi Arabian embassy in Algiers expressed its gratitude to the Algerian authorities, following the arrest of a person who threatened to carry out an attack there.
The Saudi embassy received a call at 3 a.m. local time (0200 GMT) on Wednesday from a person who threatened to bomb its headquarters. His threat was taken seriously by embassy staff who alerted the Algerian authorities.
The capital’ security forces arrested the suspect after investigations, the DGSN’s report said, adding that the person was subjected to medical checks and psychological tests before being prosecuted.
