ALGIERS- The Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (Seaal) unveiled a new innovative service aimed at informing its customers through Short Message Service (SMS) notifications. The launch event took place yesterday in Algiers, marking a significant step towards enhancing communication with Seaal’s clientele.

The SMS service will provide timely updates on water supply schedules, water bills, and advance notifications regarding water cuts due to maintenance works and other related issues. The inauguration ceremony for this service, developed in collaboration with mobile operators Mobilis, Djezzy, and Ooredoo, was held at Seaal’s training center, specializing in water management. The event was chaired by the Minister of Hydraulics, Taha Derbal, with the presence of the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, along with senior officials from both sectors.

This initiative reflects Seaal’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve customer experience and ensure efficient communication channels between the company and its clients. By leveraging SMS notifications, Seaal aims to provide real-time updates to customers, enabling them to stay informed about essential water-related information conveniently through their mobile phones. The collaboration with leading mobile operators underscores Seaal’s dedication to embracing technological advancements to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction in the water and sanitation sector.

The SMS service will empower Seaal’s customers to manage their water usage more effectively, plan accordingly for scheduled maintenance activities, and stay up-to-date with their billing information. Furthermore, the proactive notifications about water cuts will help minimize inconvenience for customers by providing timely alerts and enabling them to make necessary arrangements in advance. This initiative aligns with Seaal’s vision to promote transparency, efficiency, and customer-centric service delivery in line with the national priorities for enhancing public utilities management and infrastructure development.
