ALGIERS- Sonatrach, the Algerian state-owned oil and gas company, revealed on Tuesday the outcomes of its unified recruitment competition held across multiple provinces, aimed at selecting 1,265 workers to fulfill its staffing requirements in administrative and production units, as stated in a company press release.

“The Sonatrach Group is pleased to announce the results of the selection competition organized in the provinces of Laghouat, Bejaia, Algiers, Skikda, Boumerdes, and Oran, from December 30, 2023, to January 3, 2024,” the statement read.

Following the competition, 880 candidates were successfully chosen based on merit and will be gradually summoned to complete administrative procedures for placement within the company’s various departments.

Sonatrach noted that the remaining positions, for which suitable candidates were not identified during the competition, will be included in the recruitment plan for the current year.

It’s worth mentioning that Sonatrach conducted this competition to address the company’s needs with 1,265 job openings in both production and administrative units located across the aforementioned provinces.

A total of 4,459 candidates participated in the competition, reflecting an overall participation rate of 82% compared to the total number of individuals summoned by the National Employment Agency (ANEM) through the OGC digital platform. The ANEM invited 5,465 individuals to participate in the competition.
