“Sonatrach Focuses on Education and Environmental Awareness,” CEO Rachid Hachichi Says

ALGIERS- Rachid Hachichi, the CEO of Sonatrach Group, presided over the award ceremony for the winners of the national writing competition organized by the company in coordination with the Ministry of National Education. The competition targeted students from educational institutions across various provinces in Algeria. This initiative aligns with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sonatrach on December 31, 1963.
The ceremony, held in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed, and Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Affairs, Mme Kaoutar Krikou, underscored Sonatrach’s commitment to supporting Algerian education.
Rachid Hachichi stated that Sonatrach is dedicated to “accompanying Algerian schools.” By organizing such educational events, the company, as a responsible corporate entity, aims to “promote a culture of writing among young people” and “encourage talents to express themselves in various knowledge domains related to the environment, energy, and technology.”
Hachichi emphasized that the participants in the competition provided a clear vision for environmental preservation, which he described as a valuable treasure. The choice of the environmental theme, according to the Sonatrach CEO, reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable development, creativity, and the promotion of environmental values.
In this context, Sonatrach continues to “contribute to the development of the country,” concluded Rachid Hachichi. The company’s multifaceted approach, combining educational support and environmental awareness, exemplifies its dedication to holistic national development.
