Sonatrach Provides Four Aircraft to Algerian Red Crescent for Transporting Medical Teams and Aid to Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam

Algiers, Algeria | September 29th, 2024 — In a significant show of solidarity with humanitarian initiatives, Sonatrach, Algeria’s national oil company, has allocated four aircraft to the Algerian Red Crescent (ARC). These planes will be instrumental in transporting medical teams, vital aid, and medical supplies to Bordj Badji Mokhtar and In Guezzam.

The aircraft, placed at the disposal of the ARC, will facilitate the swift transport of healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, along with medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other vital aid. The company’s decision underscores its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its active participation in national solidarity efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable communities.

The ARC, which launched two large-scale humanitarian convoys on September 27th, has already dispatched vital supplies to these provinces. The supplies include a wide range of medical essentials, food, and other critical resources aimed at easing the difficulties faced by local populations. The availability of Sonatrach’s aircraft will expedite the delivery of further aid and personnel, ensuring that medical care reaches those in urgent need.
