Viridien, formerly known as CGG, announced that it has been selected by the Berkine Group—a joint venture between Sonatrach, Occidental Petroleum, and other international partners—to conduct a high-density seismic imaging study over an expansive area of 3,400 square kilometers. This study focuses on blocks B404a and B208 in the Berkine Basin, located in eastern Algeria.

In its official statement, Viridien highlighted that its selection for this project was driven by its continuous development of state-of-the-art imaging technologies and its robust high-performance computing capabilities.
