ALGIERS- Sonatrach, Algeria’s state-owned oil and gas company, and the Bolivian oil company YPFB signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Saturday in Algiers. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in the energy sector, explore investment and partnership opportunities, and exchange experiences between the two companies, according to a statement from Sonatrach.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) held on Saturday at the CIC Abdelatif-Rahal, with the presence of energy ministers from both countries.
This memorandum is part of Algeria’s efforts to implement the recommendations of the Forum aimed at strengthening cooperation among natural gas-producing countries, the statement concluded.
