Algiers, Algeria | August 22nd, 2024 — In a meeting held on Wednesday, Sonelgaz and South Korea’s BHI engaged in discussions to expand and deepen their partnership, signaling a new chapter in their industrial and technological collaboration. The meeting took place at Sonelgaz’s headquarters, with key figures from both sides present to outline future strategies.
Mourad Adjal, CEO of Sonelgaz, and Beejay Duk, Director General of the Algerian-Korean joint venture BHI-Algeria, led the discussions. BHI, renowned for its expertise in producing waste heat recovery boilers, thermal exchangers, and accessories for power plants, has been a crucial partner in enhancing Algeria’s energy infrastructure.
During the meeting, Adjal emphasized Sonelgaz’s commitment to reinforcing the partnership. He highlighted the company’s dedication to honoring its obligations and working towards an expanded and mutually beneficial relationship. Adjal expressed a strong desire to broaden the scope of the partnership, aiming to drive forward shared objectives and ensure significant gains for both parties.
Duk, in turn, conveyed optimism regarding the partnership’s future. He praised the ongoing support from Sonelgaz and stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation to achieve the joint venture’s goals. Duk underscored that a strengthened partnership would be vital for advancing technological innovation and addressing the evolving needs of the energy sector.
