Algiers- The Spokesperson for the Sonelgaz group, Khalil Hedna, announced that Sonelgaz will open a factory for the manufacture and production of carbon monoxide detectors, local Radio Sétif reported on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

Mr. Hedna indicated that Sonelgaz’s agreement with the university for the manufacture of these detectors is in advanced phase as a 100% local product.

He recalled that the installation operation of these detectors by Sonelgaz was done in Bou Saada, in the wilaya of M’sila, specifying that the operation affects, in its first phase, 22 provinces (wilayas) of the High Plateaus. “We first distribute 500,000 detectors, then 5 million, and the ultimate goal is to distribute 22 million detectors,” he added.

The same official indicated that Sonelgaz will open a factory for the manufacture and production of these detectors with the help of the group’s engineers and technicians.
